His Dark Materials
As I've said before, I love a series. Next to Harry Potter, this one is my favorite. Phillip Pullman's series beginning with The Golden Compass is a rich fantasy. Witches, talking bears, and a truth-teller. What more could you ask for? Lucky for all of us, the movie is out TODAY. I hear it's pretty good, so see the movie, read the book, and let's discuss it when we get back from break. There's a bit of controversy surrounding the book, which I think just makes it more fun to talk about. If you read on to the next book, The Subtle Knife, don't spoil it for anyone!

I just finished reading Mississippi Jack, and I'm definitely going to re-read the "His Dark Materials" series.
I have all the books, and I read all of them, but I already forgot most of the events. Hopefully I'll finish all of them during the Winter Break.
